Does it work without an account?+
Yes. Cooks save locally. Sign in with Apple is optional and only enables cloud backup.
Which grills work?+
All of them. Smoqe is hardware-agnostic — pellet, offset, kamado, kettle, gas, electric.
Do I need an iPhone 14 Pro for the Lock Screen feature?+
Lock Screen Live Activities work on iOS 16.1+. The Dynamic Island specifically is iPhone 14 Pro and newer.
Do I need a Bluetooth thermometer?+
No. Smoqe supports manual temp entry and target-temp confirmations. Bluetooth probe integration is on the roadmap.
Will there be an Android version?+
Not in 2026. We're iOS-first for the foreseeable future.
What happens if my phone dies mid-cook?+
Smoqe restores your active cook on relaunch, reconciles the timer against wall-clock time, and asks if you'd like to continue or mark it abandoned.
Is the AI recipe import accurate?+
It produces a draft you review before saving. Treat it as a first pass — you always confirm.
How do I delete my account?+
Settings → Data → Delete account. Photos and cooks are removed from Supabase within 24 hours.
